Amazing tour with Ricardo
Ricardo was an excellent tour guide. We had planned to visit all the stops separately, but condensing the trip with Ricardo meant we got to see every place we wanted in a single day, with no waiting for public transport and for far less money. Ricardo gave us as much time as we wanted at each stop and tailored the trip to the sights we wanted to see. We can't recommend him or this tour company enough — the amount of information and history we learned about the island is something you simply couldn't get doing this on your own. Ricardo's knowledge and experience are fantastic.
Ricardo was very friendly and went out of his way to give us a really personalised and fun experience, despite the unpredictable weather. Highly recommend if you want to explore unique places in Madeira and avoid the tourist traps!

Wonderful tour. Ricardo was an excellent driver — very knowledgeable, friendly, and knew exactly where to take us. We had great fun coming down the hills in a wicker basket, and there was a lovely stop at a small fishing village along the route. Would recommend any time.
We did two guided tours around Madeira, covering both the east and west sides with Luis and Ricardo, and they were a real highlight of our trip. Both guides were incredibly knowledgeable, sharing great insights about the island, and were always friendly, happy and full of energy. They made the experience feel relaxed and enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommended — a fantastic way to see the island.
Amazing tour with Ricardo! Half a day visiting the sights of this beautiful island — we highly recommend it. Ricardo spoke perfect English and shared history and facts about the island, and he also had great recommendations on where to taste local food outside Funchal. If you have time in the fishing village, ask Diogo or Ricardo where to eat — try the delicious local seafood.
We were very impressed with our guide Ricardo. He was pleasant, friendly and very knowledgeable about the island. The tour lasted longer than we expected and included everything he promised. Ricardo is great company on a trip and we'd gladly recommend him.

An exposure to the beauty beyond Funchal... seaside villages, wooded mountain slopes, dramatic cliffs and pools created by lava flows. Our tour guide Ricardo was fun, informative and attentive. Truly one of the best guides we've ever had.

We had three separate full-day tours with Diogo and Ricardo, who are brothers. They customised our tours to suit our wishes — we wanted plenty of time to walk and explore.
Everything was amazing! Our guide Ricardo waited for us outside with a sign and we found each other easily. We had his contact number and told him we would be a little late and it was no problem at all. The drive through the island was beautiful and at our pace. We had enough time to see everything we wanted and even to relax a little bit. Very recommend!

We booked this excursion as we were on a cruise and this was our final port stop. Ricardo picked us up promptly from the cruise port and was waiting for us with a sign with our name on — so easy to find.

Fabulous custom tour of the island. Ricardo was a brilliant and knowledgeable host who checked our travel preferences before we set off. He picked us up from our hotel and dropped us off after we stopped for a lovely lunch at our final destination. Highly recommended — Ricardo and his brother Diogo made sure our trip was really good, with excellent communication, customer service and attention to detail.
Fabulous excursion with Ricardo, who made the day very relaxed and personalised the itinerary and his information to be relevant to what we wanted to do and of interest to our teenage boys — sharing some history of the area and advising on good local drinks and delicacies to try. We had the best time with Ricardo, our brilliant driver and guide. The downhill basket ride was great fun, with a souvenir photo at the end. Being driven and met at each visit made the whole experience very relaxing.

Perfect service Ricardo!
Ricardo was a huge help during our weekend in Madeira. His father picked us up from the airport and took us to the hotel. Afterward, Ricardo showed us the island's hotspots. He spoke passionately about everything we saw, was very friendly, and also gave us space to explore on our own. I would 100% recommend booking him if you're going to Madeira!

A very personal tour
Having met Ricardo when we were about to go on the cable car in Funchal- we then spent a very pleasant time as he drove us to the gardens , waited, then drove us to the toboggan ride, picked us up at the end and drove us to the cable car for the descent to Funchal. It saved a lot of walking on a very hot day . We then arranged a custom tour on Sunday - over 3 hrs - where he took us to the Nuns Valley, Fajã dos Padres, both spectacular scenery, and the lovely fishing village Câmara de Lobos. Ricardo waited while we took time at each place. We asked him to then drop us at the Lido Beach Club where we enjoyed a wonderful swim! Ricardo is very knowledgeable about his beloved Madeira and we thoroughly enjoyed our time with him. As first time visitors we would thoroughly recommend booking a private tour with Ricardo. We wish him well in the future
