The tour
The iconic PR1 trail connecting Pico do Areeiro (1818m) to Pico Ruivo (1862m) — Madeira's highest peak. A demanding but unforgettable hike along volcanic ridges, through tunnels and stone stairways, with sweeping views above the clouds. Hotel pickup at sunrise, drop-off at the trailhead, and pickup at Achada do Teixeira after the hike. Headlamp, water and snacks recommended.
